EVIL ARMY Bassist Dies

Bassist Matt "Bones" Brown of Memphis, Tennessee thrashers EVIL ARMY has reportedly died of an overdose. The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 14 at Peebles West Funeral Chapel, Flower Shop & Crematory in Brown's hometown of Oakland, Tennessee.

EVIL ARMY, led by brothers Rob Evil and Michael Murder, was due to take part in a February/March coast-to-coast U.S. tour headlined by DOWN, a supergroup of southern hard rock icons including Philip Anselmo (PANTERA, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, ARSON ANTHEM),Kirk Windstein (CROWBAR, KINGDOM OF SORROW),Rex Brown (PANTERA),Pepper Keenan (CORROSION OF CONFORMITY),and Jimmy Bower (EYEHATEGOD),but the trek was postponed. The trio, which is said to have recently signed a deal with Anselmo's Housecore imprint, was also slated to perform at the Scion Rock Fest on Saturday, February 28 at The Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia.
