EVILE: 'Cemetery Gates' Digital-Only Single Available Now
March 1, 2010British thrashers EVILE have released a digital-only single of the band's cover of PANTERA's "Cemetery Gates".
EVILE recorded "Cemetery Gates" in 2009 for a special Metal Hammer "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott (PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN) tribute album. Tragically, it was also the last song the band recorded with its late bassist, Mike Alexander.
"Cemetery Gates" is available now exclusively on iTunes, and also features a special version of EVILE's track "Time No More", with Japanese vocals/lyrics.
Commented EVILE lead guitarist Ol Drake: "Finally, people who don't have the amazing Dimebag tribute issue, put out by Metal Hammer, can now download our cover of 'Cemetery Gates' on iTunes. Not only that, but you can also get the Japanese version of 'Time No More', only recently available on the Japanese release of 'Infected Nations'.
"It was such an honour to be a part of the Dimebag tribute, and doing this track really meant a lot to Mike.
"I recently had the pleasure of speaking to Rex [Brown, PANTERA bassist] about a few things, from the 'Gates' cover which he enjoyed, to coping with a loss.
"I love the metal community!"
EVILE is about to start two huge North American tours, first with German thrash legends KREATOR, followed immediately by the "Killfest" tour with New Jersey thrash icons OVERKILL.
