Ex-ANGRA Singer ANDRÉ MATOS Schedules Acoustic Performances, Signing Sessions

Former ANGRA/SHAAMAN frontman André Matos will take part in the following acoustic appearances / signing sessions:

Feb. 25 - Paris, France - Hard Rock Café (14 Bd Montmartre) @ 9:00pm
Feb. 26 - Clermont Ferrand, France - FNAC @ 5:30pm
Feb. 26 - Lyon, France - Double Six Café @ 10:00pm
Feb. 27 - Athens, Greece - Revenge Of Rock @ 10:00pm
Feb. 28 - Milan, Italy - Mondadori Multicenter @ 3:00pm
Feb. 29 - Hannover, Germany - Hot Shot Records @ 4:30pm

Matos will also perform an acoustic set on the "Sous les étoiles exactement" radio show on February 25 at 1:00 a.m.

As previously reported, Matos will perform an acoustic set at the Revenge Of Rock Club in Athens, Greece on Wednesday, February 27. MOONSPELL singer Fernando Ribeiro will join Matos for one song. This event, organized by the Greek edition of Rock Hard, starts at 10:00 p.m. Admission is free. Check out a poster at this location.

Matos recently inked a deal with SPV for the European release of his solo debut, "Time to be Free". Due on February 25, 2008 (three days earlier in Germany),the CD — which came out in Japan on August 22 via Avalon/Marquee Inc. — was produced by Roy Z (BRUCE DICKINSON, HALFORD, JUDAS PRIEST) and Sascha Paeth (KAMELOT, EDGUY, RHAPSODY, FREEDOM CALL) between November 2006 and February 2007 at Ultra Sonica and Brainless Brothers Studios in São Paulo, Brazil and at Gate Studio in Wolfsburg, Germany.

SHAAMAN (formerly SHAMAN) — the Brazilian band featuring former ANGRA members Matos, Luis Mariutti (bass) and Ricardo Confessori (drums) — officially called it quits in October 2006. The break-up, which was long rumored, was attributed to personal and musical differences. The group has since reformed under the SHAMAN moniker, featuring drummer Ricardo Confessori alongside guitarist Leo Mancini, vocalist Thiago Bianchi and bassist Fernando Quesada.
