Ex-CRIMSON GLORY/SEVEN WITCHES Singer Records Guest Appearance For RICK RENSTROM Solo Album

September 22, 2002

Former CRIMSON GLORY/SEVEN WITCHES frontman Wade Black recently laid down lead vocals on a track called "Towers of Babylon" for the forthcoming solo album from ROB ROCK guitarist Rick Renstrom, tentatively titled Until The Bitter End. Also appearing on the CD are ICED EARTH/ex-DEATH drummer Richard Christy, bassist/vocalist Mat Sinner (SINNER, PRIMAL FEAR),keyboardist Ferdy Doernberg (ROUGH SILK, AXEL RUDI PELL),vocalist Rob Rock (WARRIOR, ROB ROCK, who is also producing the album),and vocalist Tobias Sammet (EDGUY),among others.

"The recording for the vocals for 'Towers of Babylon' went extremely well," Black stated. "Working with Rob, Rick, and [engineer] Sean [Shannon] was great. What could be better for a singer than having your tracks produced by a vocal legend like Rob Rock? Hopefully there will be further collaborations down the line.

"Also appearing on this track is the phenomenal drumming of Richard Christy. Incredible playing. Some of the sickest fills I've heard in a while. The detail in his playing is just mind-blowing.

"This album is shaping up to be huge. Also appearing on the album will be
Tobias Sammet, Mat Sinner, Mike Terrana, Ferdy Doernberg, and perhaps a few more surprises. I think this CD will end up on a lot of 'best of the year' lists. I have no doubts that once this disc is released, a whole lot of people are going to be marveling at Rick's songwriting and guitar-playing abilities."
