Ex-DIMMU BORGIR Drummer Auctioning 'Death Cult Armagedon' Touring Kit

July 15, 2009

British extreme metal drummer Nick Barker (ex-CRADLE OF FILTH, BRUJERIA, DIMMU BORGIR, TESTAMENT, ATROCITY) is auctioning off his DIMMU BORGIR "Death Cult Armagedon" 2003 touring drum kit.

The all-black, custom-built, handmade-to-order Pearl Masterworks kit can be seen in the DIMMU BORGIR "Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse" promo video clip and was only used by Barker on the 2003 European tour campaign in support of the "Death Cult Armageddon" album as well as during the recording sessions for the ANAAL NATHRAKH BBC Radio 1 "Peel Sessions" at Maida Vale studios in London back in 2005.

As well as auctioning the monster drum kit, Barker is selling the original, handmade leg spikes (stagewear) that he wore in the "official" 2003 "Death Cult Armageddon" promotional photos and the "Progenies" promo video.

Commented Barker: "With several drum kits from the past and present consuming so much-needed space in my rehearsal studio, I feel the time has come to de-clutter and sell off a few things. My all-black custom built Pearl Masterworks drum kit is truly unique and whoever does eventually purchase it will be set for life!"
