Ex-GUNS N' ROSES/WEILAND Collaboration To Be Included On 'The Hulk' CD
May 28, 2003Universal Pictures has renegotiated a deal to include an original song written by former GUNS N' ROSES members Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum, along with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS singer Scott Weiland, in the upcoming film adaptation of "The Hulk" as well as on the accompanying soundtrack. The soundtrack, due on June 17, originally consisted only of the music score by Danny Elfman, but a deal struck last Friday (May 23) will make "Set Me Free" the only vocal song to appear on the Decca/UMG CD.
The band formerly known as "THE PROJECT" recently contributed a cover of PINK FLOYD's "Money" to the soundtrack of director F. Gary Gray's upcoming remake of the 1969 British crime comedy "The Italian Job". "The Hulk" premieres June 20, three weeks after "The Italian Job". The five-piece band also includes ex-LOADED/WASTED YOUTH guitarist Dave Kushner.
Slash and Matt Sorum were among the celebrities attending the "The Italian Job" World Premiere Tuesday night (May 27) at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.
