Ex-HELLOWEEN Frontman MICHAEL KISKE: New Solo Album Recordings 'Going Very Well'

Former HELLOWEEN frontman Michael Kiske has issued an update on the recording sessions for his new solo album, tentatively due later in the year via Italy's Frontiers Records. Entitled simply "Kiske", the CD will feature an appearances by Kiske's longtime friend Karsten Nagel (ILL PROPHECY) on drums, with possible contributions from guitarist Sandro Giampietro and a bassist named Fontaine.

According to the update, "The recordings are going very well and the drums as well as nearly all the guitars have been already recorded. This week, Fontaine will record his bass tracks and later on [Kiske] plans to start doing the vocals, which according to him, will come out more emotional than on the last albums. [Michael] thinks that the recording and mixing of the album which will be called 'Kiske' will be finished in February and the release is scheduled for after the summer break."

In other news, Frontiers will be reissuing Kiske's debut solo album, "Instant Clarity" (originally released in 1996),featuring three previously unreleased bonus songs: "Truly", "Can't Tell" and "Sacred Grounds".
