Ex-HELOWEEN Singer MICHAEL KISKE: I Will Not Join STRATOVARIUS
December 17, 2003Former HELLOWEEN singer Michael Kiske has shot down the rumors linking him with Finnish neo-classical metallers STRATOVARIUS as the replacement for the recently departed Timo Kotipelto.
The following is the official statement released by the webmaster for Kiske's new project, SUPARED:
"The fact that vocalist Timo Kotipelto left STRATOVARIUS was awakening the hope of many fans that Michael Kiske could join the Finnish band. Especially [STRATOVARIUS guitarist] Timo Tolkki's statement telling that he is in contact with a German vocalist seemed to make this even more probable.
"But hey, if you really followed Michi's thoughts and statements over the last [few] months, do you really think that this is what he wants to do? OF COURSE NOT, so all these talkings are nothing but senseless rumours as Michi will definitely NOT join STRATOVARIUS. When do you guys start to accept and first of all to respect Michi's decision concerning his musical future?!!"
