Ex-MASTERPLAN Singer JORN LANDE: High-Quality Pictures From Oslo Gig Posted Online

June 6, 2006

Norwegian vocalist Jorn Lande (ex-MASTERPLAN, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ARK) performed a headlining show at Rockefeller in Oslo, Norway on May 27 as part of short tour in support of his recently released fourth solo album, "The Duke". Check out several high-quality pictures from the gig at ChristianReppen.com.

Released earlier in the year through AFM Records, "The Duke" — which entered the Norwegian national album at position No. 54 — was produced by Lande and PAGAN'S MIND guitarist Jörn Viggo Lofstad, and was mixed at Jailhouse Studios in Denmark by Tommy Hansen.

Jorn will lead a very special "all-star" performance during his headline set at this year's ProgPower USA festival, set to take place September 15-16 at Earthlink Live in Atlanta, Georgia.

Lande recently announced his departure from MASTERPLAN due to "musical differences." During the songwriting process for the band's third album, it became increasingly apparent that the members of the group had different visions and plans for the band's musical direction. While Jorn wanted MASTERPLAN to follow a more melodic path, the rest of the band wanted to return to the metallic roots of their debut album.

MASTERPLAN are currently searching for a replacement singer.
