Ex-MEGADETH Bassist JAMES MACDONOUGH Checks In From NEVERMORE Tour

May 13, 2006

Former MEGADETH/ICED EARTH bassist James MacDonough — currently on the road with NEVERMORE filling in for regular NEVERMORE bassist Jim Sheppard (who will soon be undergoing a minor procedure for Crohn's Disease, a condition he's managed for over 15 years) — has posted the following message on his official web site:

"It is yet another rainy cold day in the Midwest, I think it's four days in a row now. Unfortunately, I won't be playing any warm dates before I go back to the north lands of Vancouver. Besides the weather, the shows have been great. NEVERMORE has had a good turnout for all the performances and it was a pleasure seeing Jim Sheppard having so much fun on his birthday at the Jaxx show. I have six more shows with the guys then Jim will be back in the fold, finishing up the tour and heading for the European festivals.

"I wanted to thank the guys ahead of time again for having me out; it's been a blast. To play with two guitar virtuosos like Jeff Loomis and Chris Broderick has been mind-blowing.

"In closing, thanks to all of you I met on the road so far and I'll keep you updated on the future projects."

MacDonough parted ways with MEGADETH in February due to "personal differences." His replacement in MEGADETH is James Lomenzo, who has previously played with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and WHITE LION, among other bands.
