Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist MARTY FRIEDMAN Schedules DJ Gig, Autograph Session

Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman's web site has been update with the following message:

"On December 18, Marty will make a guest appearance at Masa Ito's 'Heavy Metal Soundhouse' at Club Citta in Kawasaki. Marty will DJ the event and have an autograph session.

"On December 21, unplugged live with Aikawa Nanase (fan club only) Shinagawa, Tokyo

On December 31, live TV 'Kouhaku'. 'Kouhaku' is the annual New Year's program which is the most prestigious show in the history of Japanese television)

"Marty wrote and recorded a song for an upcoming Japanese film, 'Kore Ha Seishun da!' (This is Youth!) as well as a track for the Matchy Tribute along with Puffy and Kishidan. Release date January 25 on Sony.

"Marty will check out the latest upcoming electronics and give his opinion in his own monthly article in Japan's top modern gadget magazine, ASCII.

"Marty to appear on TV Asahi's hit show 'Tamori Club-Sola Mimi Awards 2006'. Brodacast date is January 13th (Friday) at 24:15.

"The 3-disc live album (2 cd`s and 1 DVD) from Aikawa Nanase '7-7-7' will be released on January 1.

"The Kirito Live & Document Movie DVD, 'The Fef of Hameln', is on sale now from Avex. Any Marty fan will not want to miss this 2 DVD set including the 2nd Tokyo show in its entirety and almost 2 hours of behind the scens footage!

"Marty has completed producing, writing and playing guitar the AVEX debut single for new artist CLAIR. The song, 'Ashiato', is the full version of the TV theme for the hit series 'Rockman' that they recorded together recently.

"Marty and Paul Gilbert will share the cover of an upcoming Young Guitar magazine which will include a special DVD of the two of them getting into details about their guitar playing.

"The latest Pia magazine features a special about the lucky winner of a private guitar lesson with Marty.

"A special report on Marty's in-store at Stigmata in Harajuku will come out in the next issue of fashion magazine Kera.

"Expect some extremely exciting guests on Marty's upcoming solo album!

"We are still working on the new version of this site (thanks for your suggestions!) and it is taking some time because we want to get it just right! In the meantime, Marty will do interview for the site after New Years so check back for that!"
