Ex-OZZY Drummer, SKID ROW Members Comment On RANDY CASTILLO's Passing

March 29, 2002

Former OZZY OSBOURNE and current BALL drummer Brian Tichy has issued the following statement in response to the news of ex-OZZY/MOTLEY CRUE drummer Randy Castillo's passing:

Randy was a good friend, a very cool person, and a very influential drummer for many years who did more in his lifetime than most. It saddens me that such a nice guy, who we all thought beat cancer, was taken from us, while people that should never have been born in the first place still walk among us! Thoughts and prayers go out to all his friends and family.”

The current members of SKID ROW, meanwhile, have released a statement of their own with regards to Castillo's passing. It reads as follows:

“Rock and Roll lost a great drummer and an all around cool person. We in SKID ROW are extremely saddened by the loss of our friend Randy Castillo. He was as solid of a person as he was a drummer. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and fans. We'll miss ya bud.”
