Ex-QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE/KYUSS Drummer HERNANDEZ Joins MONDO GENERATOR

June 24, 2004

Former QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE/current MONDO GENERATOR bassist Nick Oliveri has posted the following message on MONDO's web site:

"Hello again. Sorry for being so busy, but I've been out on tour with BRANT BJORK & THE BROS. I've also made a new record ['All Is Forgotten'] last month. My first solo record (I guess I'm getting old!). It will come out in September on Duna Records. It turned out really cool. It's kind of an overview of songs I wrote past, present & a couple of covers that just work on acoustic.

"Anyways I'm going on tour with MONDO GENERATOR and it starts in L.A. on June 29th. We're doing the west coast with MC5. I've also got some other great news Alfredo Hernandez original QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE drummer & only other drummer in KYUSS (except Brant) has joined MONDO GENERATOR! He will be on tour with us for the MC5 shows and in July in Europe!

"Well, I've got to say it's weird that the QUEENS are making a record down the street from my house and I'm not down there. But the good new is I've started a new MONDO G. record and I'll be putting out a 7" 45 on my new label Tornado Records/Mondo Media. Also, sorry about the DVD. I had someone running my website when I was on the road and they thought it was done. The good news is it is being manufactured as we speak!"
