Ex-RAINBOW/YNGWIE Singer DOOGIE WHITE Putting Finishing Touches On Solo Album
September 13, 2009U.K.-based singer Doogie White (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, RAINBOW, CORNERSTONE, TANK) is putting the finishing touches on his solo album. He states, "Tony Carey (ex-RAINBOW) and Derek Sherinian (ex-DREAM THEATER) have played some [keyboards] on it now and when Pontus Norgren (guitarist for HAMMERFALL, THE POODLES, TALISMAN, GREAT KING RAT) is finished doing live sound for OPETH, then the mix can be finalized."
Doogie previously stated about his upcoming solo CD, "This will be an album that covers many aspects of music that I have enjoyed over the years and then some."

White and Yngwie Malmsteen officially parted company in February 2008 after six and a half years together.
Doogie joined Malmsteen's band in September 2001 and recorded two albums with the legendary Swedish guitarist: "Attack" (2002) and "Unleash the Fury" (2005).
