Ex-SAIGON KICK/SKID ROW Drummer PHIL VARONE Is 'The Master Debater'
April 24, 2010TheStream.TV has announced a new cutting-edge talk show, "The Master Debater With Phil Varone", airing every Saturday at 6 p.m. PST.
Varone is an accomplished drummer, music producer and songwriter, best known for his work with the bands SAIGON KICK and SKID ROW. After a successful career in the music business, Varone moved to Los Angeles in 2006 to pursue acting and comedy. Soon after his arrival, Phil created the wildly popular "Sex Stand Up Rock And Roll Show" and found a home at the legendary Hollywood Improv. After three years of hosting and performing live, Phil is ready to bring his take on life to an exciting new interactive audience with "The Master Debater".
"The Master Debater" will prove to be a new and exciting format of studio talk show. An eclectic panel of celebrities and non-celebrity guests set in a town-hall format, will debate everyday issues with a live studio audience and interactive viewers at home. With the power of the Internet, "The Master Debater" can reach the world wide masses and entertain their thoughts and concerns.
Varone says, "As a kid, I would watch 'The Mike Douglas Show' as well as 'The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson'. I've always loved the panel discussions and wanted to bring that format back into present day and be the voice of the regular person."
Along with the established viewing audience, Varone promises to bring his large fan base and new found fans to TheStream.TV.
Having recently starred on VH1's hit show "Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew" and his appearances on "The Oprah Winfrey Show", "The Today Show" and "The Tyra Show", Varone is ready to change the face of the talk show as we know it today.
