Ex-THE GATHERING Singer Planning More Solo Dates With ANATHEMA's CAVANAGH

March 3, 2008

AGUA DE ANNIQUE/ex-THE GATHERING singer Anneke van Giersbergen has issued the following update:

"I am currently writing new songs. We plan to record this summer. I'll keep you updated.

"In other news, we are playing the upcoming 'Ticket for Tibet' festival in Holland on April 20th, 2008. The event organizers plan to release a single, which I have been invited to sing on, to help make people more aware of Tibet and its current problems. More info on the event at www.ticketfortibet.com. The other participants who will also sing on the single are a few of the finest Dutch musicians and I'm proud they've asked me to join them.

"Also, I am working on a few more solo shows together with Danny Cavanagh (ANATHEMA). We played one show together in Tilburg Holland earlier this year and that was such a great time that we really wanted to do that again this year."
