Ex-Wife Of Former GREAT WHITE Drummer And 4-Year-Old Son Located In California

July 3, 2003

A woman and a 4-year-old boy who disappeared from a Riverside, California mall have been found safe, police said Thursday (July 3),according to the Associated Press.

Angelique McQueen and her son left the mall on their own Saturday without anyone forcing them, Anaheim police spokesman Sgt. Rick Martinez said. They were found safe Thursday but he declined to say where.

"Our detectives are going to continue interviewing her to find out what caused the disappearance," he said.

McQueen, 32, is the ex-wife of Audie Desbrow, the former drummer of the hard rock band GREAT WHITE. Desbrow was not in the band in February, when a fire at a GREAT WHITE concert in Rhode Island killed 100 people.

McQueen filed divorce papers in Riverside in September 2000.

A male friend of McQueen's called police at about 11 p.m. Saturday because they did not meet him as expected after they went to the mall, Martinez said.

Riverside police found McQueen's car in the mall parking lot, but she and the boy were gone.
