EXCITER Add New Bassist

Canadian thrash pioneers EXCITER have announced the addition of bassist Paul Champagne to the group's lineup.

The band — Champagne, recently-acquired vocalist Rob Degroot, guitarist John Ricci and drummer Rik Charron — are "currently writing new material, heavy and aggressive, in the EXCITER tradition," according to the group's official web site. "Intense rehearsals have started for live shows due to the fact the band have received invites to play shows in USA and Europe. The band is preparing to enter the studio to record the next album very soon."
