EXCITER's Ricci Confirms Vocalist Departure, Band Hiatus

January 10, 2002

After several months of silence, EXCITER guitarist John Ricci has finally confirmed via the group's official web site that vocalist Jacques Blanger has left the group. According to Ricci, Jacques has quit the band because of 'creative differences'he feels, that he is 'musically confined' in EXCITER's original, aggressive style. No replacement has yet been found for Blanger, who had been in the band since 1996. The guitarist also revealed that the group are currently without a record deal, having recently parted ways with Osmose Productions. [Osmose] did not renew our contract when it expired, explained John. EXCITER are presently taking some time off to re-evaluate their next move. More information on the act's future plans should be available in the coming months.
