EXODUS Latest Victim Of 'DISNEY Ban?'

February 4, 2013

San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS will be forced to miss the April 12 date of the Metal Alliance Tour — featuring headliners ANTHRAX, along with support acts HIGH ON FIRE, MUNICIPAL WASTE and HOLY GRAIL — at the the House of Blues venue in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, a property owned by the Disney corporation.

Says EXODUS: "Because Disney has decided that EXODUS is TOO METAL for them, we will NOT be playing the Lake Buena Vista [House Of Blues] show in Florida, but the fine thrash maniacs in Tampa have invited us to rage at the Orpheum instead. Who's comin' out for a Lesson in Violence?"

The Walt Disney Company previously banned MACHINE HEAD from performing at the same House Of Blues venue in Florida in December 2012 as well as in two separate House Of Blues venues in 2007, allegedly due to the band's "violent imagery," "inflammatory lyrics" and the group's "undesirable fans." Other acts that were reportedly "banned" by the Walt Disney Corporation include DAATH, THE FACELESS, SNOT and GALLOWS.
