EXODUS: Modesto Show Cancelled
August 2, 2007EXODUS' previously announced August 6 concert at Fat Cat Music House & Lounge in Modesto, California has been cancelled. "This is no fault of our own, just the promoter could not come up with the funds to put the show on, and we were certainly not going to drive from Mexico to Modesto on a maybe, which was all we could get from him," says guitarist Gary Holt. "No deposit, no nothing. I wanted to play there, we had our boys in SKINLAB on the bill with us, but to no avail. My apologies to anyone who was planning on coming out, but once again, this had zero to do with EXODUS. But all the other shows are a go, and Fresno is not too far away I think, so try to catch us there."
EXODUS has completed work on its new album, tentatively due before the end of the year via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California with producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, MACHINE HEAD, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY).
Holt recently released his first-ever instructional DVD, "A Lesson in Guitar Violence", through Zaentz. The disc, which contains never-before-seen live footage from 1985 at the Dynamo Club in Holland, can be ordered at The Exodus Store.
