FAIRYTALE ABUSE Parts Ways With Drummer, Seeks Replacement
May 24, 2007Danish black metal band FAIRYTALE ABUSE has issued the following update:
"Unfortunately, we have to announce that our faithful drummer, Troels Nissen, has decided to leave the band. Troels has been blasting along with us for three years, and we've been more than pleased with having him onboard. He decided to leave to seek new musical challenges, but stayed long enough to finish the recording of our upcoming album. He will always be a friend of the band, and we wish him all the best of luck. Troels will participate in the rest of the recording proces as well as the upcoming cover photo session.
"We are looking for a new drummer. Please spread the word. We have put up a page with the details here (Danish only)."
FAIRYTALE ABUSE's upcoming CD will be the follow-up to "The Spirit Tower", which was released worldwide in May 2006. The group spent the last few months writing the material for the album, which will feaure a "more brutal, more black, and more evil" musical style compared to its predecessor. Mixing and recording will be done by Jan Borsing at Borsing Studios in Århus, Denmark. According to the band, the studio was chosen because of the immense experience Jan Borsing has in producing melodic black metal.
