Famed Searcher Brings New Hope In Finding Missing METALLICA Fan
January 22, 2010The CUE Center for Missing Persons, a nonprofit that aids in the search for missing children, has agreed to join the hunt for Morgan Harrington, the 20-year-old Virginia Tech student who vanished from a METALLICA concert last October in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Police have organized extensive searches of the Charlottesville area, and Monica Caison, who heads the CUE Center, said her organization will work police and community search teams to determine what steps should be taken next.
Ann Flaherty of Examiner.com is recently had the opportunity to speak with Caison and posed to her some questions about the search for Morgan. An excerpt from the chat follows below.
Examiner.com: Where do you begin in a case like Morgan's?
Caison: We will construct search plans under the theory of a possible abduction and also if Morgan happened to wander and possibly made have been taken over by the outside cold conditions and or may have fallen and not survived the fall. So you begin by looking at all that has been cleared by other searches that have taken place and first look beyond that as you take all areas that have been eliminated, then put your theory into play.
Examiner.com: How much preparation is needed before you start a search?
Caison: Most always we have a logistical plan in place and arrive a day or so early to add finishing touches, we come prepared.
