FAMILY VALUES TOUR CD/DVD To Arrive In December

September 23, 2006

More than 400,000 wildly enthusiastic fans turned out for The Family Values Tour, one of the hottest tickets of the summer. The 30-show trek — headlined and founded by KORN — boasted some record-setting attendance figures. Kicking off with a sold-out show of 17,000 rocking fans at Nashville's Starwood Amphitheatre, The Family Values Tour set new attendance records for the tour that KORN created and headlined in 1998, as evidenced by shows in Atlanta, GA (17,900),San Antonio (17,000),Dallas (19,000) and Houston (18,000),Pittsburgh (13,000),Detroit (15,000) and Indianapolis (21,000).

KORN frontman Jonathan Davis said, "We wanted to do our part to help fight high ticket prices and make the festival experience exciting again and affordable for all fans. The fans proved us right beyond our wildest dreams by the big crowds who came out every night. We can't wait to make it even better for them next year!!"

Along with KORN, this year's other main stage artists were DEFTONES, STONE SOUR, FLYLEAF and DIR EN GREY. With nine artists on the tour and a variety of attractions on the "Family Values Campus" — including 3-on-3 paintball competition — fans got an even greater value from the Live Nation-produced The Family Values Tour, which also featured 10 YEARS, DEADSY, BURY YOUR DEAD, BULLETS AND OCTANE and WALLS OF JERICHO. This December, a The Family Values Tour CD and DVD will be available featuring all the bands and highlights from this year's bill on Firm Music.

Meanwhile, KORN fans can look forward to the September 26 release of "Chopped, Screwed, Live & Unglued". This special package will include two CDs and a DVD. The first CD is a remixed version of selected tracks from KORN's platinum release "See You On The Other Side" chopped and screwed by famed DJ, Michael "5000" Watts. The second disc will be highlighted by the Grammy-winning band's first-ever acoustic performance from an AOL Sessions earlier this year; KORN live tracks; and two remixes of "Coming Undone", the first single from "See You On The Other Side" via a contest staged with MTV Networks Europe and www.ACIDplanet.com offering European fans the chance to submit a re-mixed version of the song.

The DVD also includes the band's AOL Sessions and behind-the-scenes footage of the band at a recent intimate performance, plus videos for "Twisted Transistor"; "Coming Undone"; the mash-up version of "Coming Undone" with DEM FRANCHISE BOYZ; and an animated clip for "Liar".
