FANTOMAS Schedule 'Warm-Up' Show In Los Angeles

May 5, 2005

To prepare for their upcoming European tour, and to introduce the legendary Terry Bozzio as their fill-in drummer (while Dave Lombardo is on the road with SLAYER),FANTOMAS will be playing an intimate warm-up show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on June 6.

FANTOMAS, whose lineup also features former FAITH NO MORE singer Mike Patton, MR. BUNGLE bassist Trevor Dunn, and MELVINS guitarist Buzz Osborne, are touring in support of their latest release, "Suspended Animation", available now on Ipecac Records.

"Suspended Animation" features 30 tracks, each titled after a different day in the month of April. The first manufacturing run of the set features a 30-page spiral-bound calendar to house the CD, with artwork by Japanese cartoonist Yoshimoto Mara. Sprinkled throughout the typically schizophrenic music are a bevy of cartoon samples, including Bugs Bunny's famous rhetorical question, "Well, what did you expect in an opera? A happy ending?," which ends the disc.
