FIERCE ALLEGIANCE Completes New Album With Former DARKEST HOUR Guitarist

February 9, 2009

Washington, D.C. metal band FIERCE ALLEGIANCE has finished mixing and mastering its new full-length album, "The Meaning of Sacrifice", at former DARKEST HOUR guitarist Kris Norris' studio in Palm Coast, Florida.

The new album speaks to a generation filled with rage, paranoia, and frustration. The songs are anthems to the voiceless; from the rapid fire of "Face the Enemy" the active rock "Love/Hate" the brutality of "Viking" the call for retribution on "I Swear Revenge" the alcoholic anthem of "No Way Out" to the destruction of enemies on "Crime of Passion". This is the sound of the mosh pit, the pain of getting your teeth kicked in, and the echo of marching to war. This album offers only a taste of what is to come — as the band will have Kris Norris produce their future releases.

Vocalist Ben Allegiance states: "Collaborating with Kris was an honor. Kris' guitar playing, production and mixing skills have been nothing short of amazing! The dude sharpened our sound into what it is today. I am proud to have worked with such an amazing friend and producer."

After spending the past four years gigging and three independent releases, FIERCE ALLEGIANCE is back with a new album for 2009 "The Meaning of Sacrifice" that pushes the boundaries of metal — melding melodic death metal, thrash, hard rock and classic metal into a sound that can only be described as HEAVY and LOUD. The band spent 2007/2008 with sound engineer Ken Olden from DAMNATION AD writing and recording at Sheffield Studios. Looking to expand their sound, the band tapped their friend Kris Norris from DARKEST HOUR to play guest lead/harmony guitar and provide guitar production.

During summer/fall of 2008, FIERCE ALLEGIANCE hit the road playing all over the country, which included a U.S. tour supporting VITAL REMAINS, SKINLESS, and INFERNAEON. The band then entered Kris Norris' studio to complete re-mixing and mastering of "The Meaning of Sacrifice".

FIERCE ALLEGIANCE has been featured on best-selling extreme sports soundtracks since 2003, including the No. 1selling special interest motorcycle series "Adrenaline Crew Part 1: 100% Illegal" and "Adrenaline Crew Part 3: The Road Behind", released on Warner Bros./Rhino.
