FINNTROLL Complete Work On New CD

February 27, 2003

Finland's FINNTROLL have set "Visor Om Slutet" as the title for their recently-completed "acoustic/experimental" CD, the group's first with new singer Tapio Wilska. The group had originally planned on recording only an EP's worth of material, but reportedly had so much fun during the sessions — which took place at a studio just outside Helsinki, the country's capital — that they decided to record some "extra" music. The resulting recordings will be included on a specially-priced CD, to be released this spring.

"The studio we recorded in is located in the middle of forest and it's really inspiring! If you want to record, then you record... Otherwise, you can go to sauna, eat well or drink some booze," Wilska told Kaista.

"The new record will contain some beautiful folk, cheery trollish metal and also some pretty bombastic feelings!" the singer added.

FINNTROLL will enter the studio later in the year to record their next full-length album, due in late 2003.
