FIREWIND: Audio Interview With GUS G. Available

A four-minute audio interview with FIREWIND guitarist Gus G. conducted by Norway's Metal Express Radio (web site) in early October at the ProgPower USA VIII festival in Atlanta, GA has been posted online at this location.

FIREWIND is preparing to enter Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden to begin recording its fifth album for a spring release via Century Media Records. Songtitles seto to appear on the CD include "Remembered", "Life Foreclosed", "The Silent Code", "Mercenary Man", "My Loneliness", "Head Up High"."

FIREWIND will team up with KAMELOT and VISIONS OF ATLANTIS for a European tour in April/May 2008.

FIREWIND's 2002 debut album, "Between Heaven & Hell", was re-released in Japan on October 10 via King Records. The reissue includes new artwork, liner notes from guitarist Gus G. and producer David T. Chastain as well as two bonus tracks. Originally released with different cover artwork in Japan, this time the album includes the European cover which was created by legendary artist Kristian Wahlin (KING DIAMOND, DISSECTION, AT THE GATES)

FIREWIND earlier in the year announced that singer Apollo Papathanasio would take several months off and be temporarily replaced by German vocalist Henning Basse (METALIUM).

FIREWIND's latest single, "Breaking the Silence" (featuring Tara Teresa),entered the national single chart in Greece at position No. 19 and moved up to No. 16 in its second week. The video for the single's title cut was directed by Patric Ullaeus (IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL).
