FIREWIND Guitarist To Guest On New HEAVENWOOD Album

FIREWIND guitarist Gus G. has recorded a guest solo for "Redemption", the third album from the Portugese metal/goth rock band HEAVENWOOD, due in September via Recital Records. Gus appears in the track "One Step to Devotion", "matching perfectly HEAVENWOOD's emotive music with is thundering solo!" according to a press release. Also scheduled to appear on the CD is singer Tijs Vanneste of the Belgian progressive metallers OCEANS OF SADNESS.

"Redemption" will be mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (OPETH, SOILWORK, AMON AMARTH) at Fascination Street Studios in rebro, Sweden. The initial recording sessions for the CD took place at Ultrasound Studios with Daniel Cardoso and Ricardo Dias.

After the departure in 2004 of main songwritter and guitarist Ricardo Dias, HEAVENWOOD went on a lengthy hiatus. Now Ricardo Dias has returned along with new drummer Luiz Ferreira (ex-SECRECY from Portugal).

HEAVENWOOD previously relelased two albums "Diva" and "Swallow" and played shows with IN FLAMES, ATROCITY, THEATRE OF TRAGEDY and LAKE OF TEARS, among others.
