November 5, 2010

Greek melodic metallers FIREWIND — who feature in their ranks current OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist Gus G. and new SPIRITUAL BEGGARS vocalist Apollo Papathanasio — supported German hard rock veterans SCORPIONS on October 27, 2010 at the Peace & Friendship Stadium in Athens, Greece.

Fan-filmed video footage of FIREWIND's performance can be viewed below.

"Days Of Defiance", the new album from FIREWIND, sold around 700 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 53 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

A new FIREWIND track, "The Ark Of Lies", is available for free download after you tweet or Facebook about the song. Go here for more details.

The European limited-edition mediabook CD version of "Days Of Defiance" doesn't only come with special packaging, alternate cover artwork and expanded booklet features, it also contains three special bonus tracks, a Gus G. / ESP guitar pick as well as a quality FIREWIND sticker.
