First Annual AUDITORY ASSAULT FESTIVAL Pushed Back A Week

September 11, 2006

The first annual Auditory Assault Festival, which is slated to take place at Sonar in Baltimore, Maryland, has been postponed to December 2 from the previously announced November 25. According to an online posting by one of the festival organizers, "We could've moved it to one day later on Sunday, November 26, but who the hell would be happy about a festival taking place on the last day of a holiday weekend? We checked other legit venues in the MD region to keep the date of the 25th, but they were already booked, leaving us with the only option of moving the fest to the next Saturday (December 2nd) at Sonar. It was either do it this way or cancel the whole thing, and well, canceling it was not in our list of options. There will be an official statement posted on the web site in the next day or two as soon as we verify that ATHEIST can play on the 2nd. As of now, it appears that will not be a problem.

"Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause you, but it makes our lives much harder than any of yours, so don't go throwing your fist in anger at the computer monitor if you can't come to the fest on the new date. And for those complaining that they couldn't come on on Thanksgiving weekend, your problem has been solved..."

The Auditory Assault Festival is expected to include performances by the following acts:

ATHEIST (Florida)
MONSTROSITY (Florida)
CRETIN (California)
MISERY INDEX (Maryland)
BATHTUB SHITTER (Japan)
PHOBIA (California)
INTERNAL SUFFERING (Colombia)
EMBALMER (Ohio)
COMMIT SUICIDE (Pennsylvania)
TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION (Pennsylvania)
TRIAC (Maryland)
