Five-Day METALLICA Party To Be Held In Helsinki

July 10, 2007

In conjunction with METALLICA's July 15 concert in Helsinki, Finland, the Official Finnish Chapter of the Metallica Club will host what it claims is a "world-record" five-day-long METALLICA party from July 11 to July 15 at Rocktown Helsinki featuring:

* An audio and video marathon of every commercially released METALLICA song and video in existence (including every b-side and compilation appearance)
* Raffles, trivia sessions and competitions, where prizes will include used METALLICA guitar strings, passes from previous tours, official guitar picks and every item in the back catalogue currently in print and available in Finland on CD and DVD
* Live music from CRAZY MACHINE on Saturday and Sunday and MECHANIX on Wednesday.

For more information, visit The Official Finnish Chapter of the Metallica Club at www.metclub.fi.

Tickets for METALLICA's Helsinki concert reportedly sold out less than 30 minutes after they went on sale on February 28, 2007.

METALLICA's last show at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, Finland — on May 28, 2004 — was attended by 46,000 people, which is nearly 1 percent of the country's 5.5-million population.
