FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Drummer Interviewed At U.K.'s DOWNLOAD Festival

Peter Bailey of the "Metalheadz" radio show conducted an interview with drummer Jeremy Spencer of Los Angeles metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH at this year's Download festival, which was held June 11-13, 2010 at Donington Park, United Kingdom. Watch the chat below.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH will perform its cover version of the BAD COMPANY classic "Bad Company" on the Tuesday, August 17 episode of ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" (which will actually air the morning of Wednesday, August 18).

As they gear up for this summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, where they'll be sharing the main stage alongside KORN, ROB ZOMBIE and LAMB OF GOD, the members of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH are making waves around the globe.

Last month, the quintet won back-to-back hardware at this year's Kawasaki Golden Gods Awards (formerly Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards) in London for "Best Breakthrough Band" and "Best Shredder" for guitarist and band founder Zoltan Bathory. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH won last year for "Best New Band" at the Golden Gods Awards, making them three-for-three with winning awards at the heralded annual ceremony. The group also marked the occasion with a blazing performance at the year's Kawasaki Golden Gods Awards, televised on BBC.

A few days earlier, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH caused even more buzz and controversy with its explosive performance at the Download festival in Donington, U.K. At the end of the band's set, the crowd of 90,000 became so rowdy that the festival shut down the P.A. Crowd surfers rushed the stage to shake the hand of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH frontman Ivan Moody, which created a historically out of control atmosphere on the festival grounds.

While concert-goers were upset that the show was stopped, the buzz has been palpable. In its live review of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's Download set, Kerrang! magazine said it "bolstered their reputation as metal's big stars in waiting." The performance at the festival caused a huge jump in U.K. sales.

The same fervor continues here in the U.S., where frontman Ivan Moody graces the cover of Revolver magazine (for its upcoming Mayhem preview issue) dressed as Frankenstein — one of the "Monsters of Mayhem."

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's second album, "War Is The Answer", came out last fall. The CD has sold 255,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
