FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Guitarist Interviewed On 'Headbangers Ball' (Video)

October 27, 2011

Jose Mangin, host/producer MTV.com's web-only show "Headbangers Ball", conducted an interview with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH guitarist Jason Hook on the "red carpet" of the 48 Hours Festival, the two-day destination music festival which took place Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16 on the Luxor Festival Grounds, located on the east side of Las Vegas Blvd. across from Luxor, in Las Negas, Nevada. You can now watch the chat below.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH guitarist Zoltan Bathory said in a new feature on the band at Billboard.com that the success of the metal act's third album, "American Capitalist", is a "testament to our fans," adding, "We are in a fortunate position that the DEATH PUNCH fans take pride in buying the album and supporting us we owe everything to them."

"American Capitalist" debuted at No. 3 on last week's The Billboard 200 chart, selling 91,000 copies in its first week of release. Both the chart and sales numbers were career highs for the group. Singer Ivan Moody told The Pulse Of Radio he could not believe the response to the record. "I mean, it's almost just massive the way it's taken off," he said. "I mean, I jumped on Facebook last night I was on for like five minutes and I had to get off. I mean, it was just flooded with emails and with people. The reaction is so through the roof. You know, if you would have told me five or six years that this was gonna happen, I would have probably laughed at you. It's fantastic. I've worked my whole life for this, man. The reaction's just stupendous."

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's previous two albums, 2007's "The Way Of The Fist" and 2009's "War Is The Answer", are both certified gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies each.

The group's label, Prospect Park which also doubles as its management plans an extensive 18-month campaign behind the new disc. Up to four singles could be released, with the first, "Under And Over It", already a rock radio hit.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH just kicked off the Share The Welt tour last week, which has the band headlining over ALL THAT REMAINS, HATEBREED and REV THEORY.
