FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Singer: Playing For Troops Makes It 'All Worthwhile'

March 28, 2012

According to The Pulse Of Radio, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH recently returned from a trip to the Middle East, where the band performed for U.S. troops at several military bases across Kuwait. This was the group's second trip in two years, following a 2010 visit to Iraq. Singer Ivan Moody told FMQB, "What a stellar way to start the spring. Playing for the troops is always an honor and seriously humbling. Can't say enough about the experience — everyone was so respectful and warm. I hope we helped morale and it was a privilege to give back to those that give so much for us."

Moody told The Pulse Of Radio that bringing music to American soldiers stationed far from home is is something he takes very seriously. "They're just so grateful, and so many of them are just sitting around right now and just want to come home and be with their family and friends, so just to sit there and have that connection with them, man — it made this whole year, whatever happens, you know, down the road or whatever's happened in the past, it made it all worthwhile," he said.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is now on the road in North America for a headlining run that brings the group to Redding, California on Wednesday (March 28).

The group is touring in support of its third studio album, 2011's "American Capitalist". The set's latest single, "Remember Everything", is at No. 2 on the Active Rock radio chart.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has shows booked into mid-May, ending with an appearance at Columbus, Ohio's Rock On The Range festival on May 19.
