FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Taps Famed Video Director WAYNE ISHAM For 'Wash It All Away' Clip

October 29, 2015

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH spent a couple of days earlier in the month filming a music video for the song "Wash It All Away" with director Wayne Isham, who has helmed clips for such artists as METALLICA, PANTERA, GODSMACK, DEF LEPPARD, BON JOVI and AVENGED SEVENFOLD. The video, which is expected to be premiered in November, will include footage of the group's October 8 performance at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.

During an appearance on the latest installment of HATEBREED frontman Jamey Jasta's official podcast, "The Jasta Show", FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH bassist Chris Kael stated about Isham: "I didn't realize that he had done MÖTLEY CRÜE's 'Home Sweet Home'. I knew about the METALLICA videos, but I wasn't aware of the MÖTLEY CRÜE… What was the other one I saw? BON JOVI… All those big videos back in the day, that was the guy."

According to Kael, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH wanted to take a different approach with the "Wash It All Away" video compared to the clips the band had worked on in the past.

"We've had our fair share of friends of the band that were doing videos and those videos came out great [because of the] different interpersonal connections [we had] with the directors," he explained. "But when you wanna make a statement, Wayne is the dude. He's got the resume. All those great videos… I mean, I remember, whatever it was, junior high or high school, I can't recall at this point, sitting at home, rushing home to see where MÖTLEY CRÜE's 'Home Sweet Home' was on the Top 20 countdown they had every day out there. And fast forward fifteen, twenty years later…. Boom! My video."

"Wash It All Away" is taken from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's new album, "Got Your Six", which entered the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 2, selling 119,000 copies in its first week of release. This was the band's third straight No. 2 debut, following both volumes of "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell" in 2013. "Got Your Six", however, did rack up the band's best single sales week ever, surpassing the 112,000 copies sold of "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell, Volume 1", in its first week.

Each of FIVE FINGER's previous albums has been certified gold in the U.S. for sales of 500,000 copies or more.

"Got Your Six" is the band's sixth studio effort and features the top rock single "Jekyll And Hyde".

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has just completed a U.S. co-headlining tour with PAPA ROACH and will kick off a European run on November 2 in Helsinki, Finland.
