FLOTSAM AND JETSAM: Producer BILL METOYER Signs On For Next Album

April 8, 2007

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM bassist Jason Ward has issued the following update:

"I just wanted to say thanks to all those who came and ROCKED the ####ING house with us at the Paladino's and Galaxy Theater this past weekend. I was really great to see you all and I once again had a great ####ing time. Special thanks to Tori Edwards — our most kick-ass violinist for doing the shows with us once again, it is always great to have him there. Saw some old friends out there and some die-hards that really put together a stew of moshers, pitting their ass off at the Galaxy. Thank you all so much.

"Anyone that can come down to Mexico City the end of april should do it. We are teaming up once again with TESTAMENT and look forward to playing in two Mexican cities we have never ever been to. It should be awesome.

"About the new record: Well, I have talked to the guys about making another album and once again it was positive. In fact, A.K. [vocalist Eric 'A.K.' Knutson] said we could make two albums at one time and save some money.... HAHA… We will see. I like his optimism, though it is hard enough to come up with one at a time.

"Our most favorite producer Bill Metoyer was at the show and for some reason said he wants to be abused by us one more time and make another album. I can't believe he is up to that kind of torture. But he said he would like to do another one with us, so as soon as I can get him to agree to virtually no money on this next one, we will lock him up for sure. Love ya, Bill.

"Well, once again, thanks for making our shows ####ING AWESOME. See you soon."

As previously reported, a classic video clip of FLOTSAM AND JETSAM performing the song "She Took an Axe" in 1985 — featuring future METALLICA bassist Jason Newsted — has been posted online at YouTube.com.
