FLOTSAM AND JETSAM To Appear On METALLICA Tribute DVD

July 15, 2003

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM will be contributing a song to the upcoming METALLICA tribute DVD currently being produced by Bob Kulick (brother of Bruce) for release through Cleopatra Records. "This will be the second such project for the label, and as you may already know, [FLOTSAM AND JETSAM singer] Eric A.K. was on the first one doing 'Battery' with [SLAYER's] Dave Lombardo on drums, [METALLICA's Robert] Trujillo on bass and Rocky [ex-SUICIDAL TENDENCIES] on guitar," FLOTSAM AND JETSAM drummer Craig Nielsen wrote on the band's official message board. "This time around FLOTSAM AND JETSAM will perform 'Damage Inc.', and judging from rehearsal it's going to phucking crush. There will be a film crew present during the recording to provide footage for the DVD. So this makes 2 DVD's in one weekend for the band... Long live thrash!!!"

As previously reported, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM will film their appearance at the Bash On Ash in Tempe, Arizona on July 18 for their upcoming DVD, tentatively due in late 2003/early 2004 through the Cleopatra label. The band will also perform at the Fox Club in Los Angeles on July 19 and at the Galaxy Theater in Anaheim California on July 20. Additional DVD footage may be recorded at the Anaheim date. FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's lineup for the performance will include original singer Eric A.K., who left the band in August 2001 after announcing that he was retiring from the music business.
