FLOTSAM AND JETSAM Working On 'Very Best Record' Band Has Done In Over 10 Years

October 27, 2008

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM drummer Craig Nielsen has issued the following update

"As usual, I deeply apologize for the long delay since my last update, but the news is ALL good. First, we are done with all drum, bass and rhythm guitar tracks for our new record, with just vocals and leads to go. I know a lot of bands always say this leading up to a new record, but I can promise with total confidence this is by far the very best record this band has done in over 10 or even many more years! The songs are inspired, there are really no fillers. It's fast with feeling, tight, memorable, fresh, and so far masterfully engineered. The perfect effort to be our first release under our new label, Driven Music Group, to be given the very top-of-the-line Warner Brothers Distribution. We have been assured top priority with regard to promotion and cooperation from all aspects of record company backing. The band is extremely rejuvenated and ready to take on the world with this record.

"Also, we head to just outside Frankfurt, Germany to headline the latest Keep It True Festival, which has been sold out for months, on November 15. The show will include some suprises in our set that we have never played live since Mark Simpson and myself joined the band 11 years ago. There is a LOT of European press at this event, so hopefully we will get much welcomed exposure leading up to our new release, which will happen early 2009."

Driven Music Group is the label created by Brian "Head" Welch, a founding member, songwriter and guitarist from the multi-platinum rock band KORN.

Metal Mind Productions released FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's new DVD, entitled "Once in a Deathtime", in Europe on June 16.
