FORBIDDEN Announces European Headlining Tour

Reactivated San Francisco Bay Area thrashers FORBIDDEN will embark on a European headlining tour in August. Support on the trek will come from COMMUNIC.

The dates are as follows:

Sep. 07 - Poland Wroclaw Firlej
Sep. 08 - Germany Braunschweig Schweinebrmann

Gene "The Atomic Clock" Hoglan (ex-DARK ANGEL, ex-STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, FEAR FACTORY, DETHKLOK) filled in for FORBIDDEN drummer Mark Hernandez at the band's recent appearances at Inferno Festival in Norway and Metropole Ruhr Fest in Germany.

"Omega Wave", the latest album from FORBIDDEN, sold around 950 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 27 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Omega Wave" was released in Europe on October 22, 2010 and in North America on October 26, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records. It was recorded at Sonic Room/Audio Voyage Studios in Livermore, California, produced by FORBIDDEN guitarist/songwriter Craig Locicero with Tim Narducci, and mixed by Sean Beavan (SLAYER, MARILYN MANSON, NINE INCH NAILS).

FORBIDDEN's current lineup consists of Russ Anderson on vocals, Craig Locicero on guitar, Steve Smyth on guitar, Matt Camacho on bass and Mark Hernandez on drums.
