Former 3 INCHES OF BLOOD Bassist Teams Up With Ex-BLACK HOUSES Members

Former 3 INCHES OF BLOOD bassist Nick Cates has teamed up with two ex-members of the Seattle band BLACK HOUSES, Christiaan Morris and Patrick Taylor, to form CURSE OF THE NORTH. The new group will enter the studio in November with producer/engineer Matt Bayles (MASTODON, ISIS, THE SWORD) to begin recording its debut album for an early 2011 release.

Two demo tracks CURSE OF THE NORTH recently recorded with Bayles at the helm — "When The Wind Blows" and "The Horsemen" — are available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.
