Former ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY Frontman Joins BULLISTIC

Former ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY frontman Johnny Throckmorton has joined Richmond, Virginia's BULLISTIC. "Johnny brings a wealth of talent and experience to the band and we're excited to have him in the band," says BULLISTIC founding member and guitarist Ed Savoy. The group is currently busy writing material for the follow-up to 2007's "Ride the Line", tentatively due next year via an as-yet-undetermined label. "We got a few offers on the table but until we have the record done and ready, we're holding off on making any commitments," says Savoy. "We got way too much on the line to jump into something at this time. We need a label that believes in this next record enough to devote the resources necessary to take the band to the next level."

BULLISTIC will team up with BRAND NEW SIN for some East Coast shows this fall.

Johnny was born in Lansing, Michigan in 1976. While his mother was in labor, his father was on stage playing a gig. This was their family's only source of income at the time. The passion and talent in the gene pool was more than a coincidence.

The family moved to Richmond, Virginia when Johnny was six years old. He showed interest in music from a very young age and began performing in public as early as age fourteen.

Johnny joined ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY as the lead singer in 1997 and appeared on the band's first four full-length records. A video was also shot for the song "Motor Ready" which was aired three weekends in a row on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball". The band was featured in Metal Hammer, Metal Edge, Kerrang!, Terrorizer, and many other hard rock magazines. He toured the United States, Canada, and Europe performing almost eight hundred shows before departing ATP in 2002. Johnny then joined IMMORTAL AVENGER in 2006. The band released a five-song EP and toured in support of it. He left the band in 2008.
