Former AMERICAN HEARTBREAK Guitarist CURTIS GRANT Passes Away At Age 39

March 26, 2007

San Francisco rock musician Curtis Grant passed away last week at age 39. The immensely popular ex-guitarist for such notable bands as BLACK CHERRY, AMERICAN HEARTBREAK and TOUCH ME HOOKER lost his battle with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma on Tuesday, March 20. He is survived by his wife, two children and a huge list of friends and family.

Over the last 20 years, Curtis displayed a wide array of talents, playing in bands that ranged from hardcore punk, to glam rock to metal. Having devoted the last decade towards family life, Curtis had settled comfortably into his role as a father, and was devoting much time to his Native American heritage and community.

A benefit show for the family of Curtis Grant is currently being planned for Thursday, April 12 in San Francisco, with a Los Angeles memorial concert in the works for a later date. More details on these events are forthcoming. Donations in his memory may be made to The Friendship House, 56 Julian Ave., S.F., CA 94103.
