Former ANTHRAX Singer DAN NELSON Featured On Newly Released ME, MY ENEMY Recordings

July 26, 2010

Four songs recorded by the Lindenhurst, New York-based metal band ME, MY ENEMY in 2007 just prior to singer Dan Nelson's departure to join ANTHRAX have been posted online at Soundclick.com.

The tracks available for download are as follows:

01. My Time
02. Burning Eden
03. Caving In
04. Shattered Existence

According to the band's official bio, the members of ME, MY ENEMY "take the riffs that they grew up with and the grooves that they love and put them together to create a sound that crosses the heaviest of old-school metal with the pain of Seattle's best. Having been described as the bastard child of BLACK SABBATH, LIFE OF AGONY and SOUNDGARDEN, ME, MY ENEMY brings something a little different to a scene drowning in the likes of emo/screamo bands and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE wannabees. Each of the guys have been around the New York metal scene for years. These guys are not newbies with all chops and no heart. Martin (guitar) comes from a hardcore background, citing bands like CARNIVORE and TYPE O NEGATIVE as influences. Larry (bass) and Mike (drums) bring the metal/progressive edge to mix siting influences from PRONG, PANTERA, and SLAYER to SEVEN WITCHES, DREAM THEATER and WATCHTOWER. Combining these ingredients creates an unstable compound of riffs and grooves that can't help but infect you…"

Regarding his split with ANTHRAX in July 2009, Nelson told The Metal Den, "I never live my life with any regrets and never look back and wish I did something different. I chose instead to look forward to the future. We did some great things in the time we wrote and performed together, and I am very proud of that."
