Former ANTHRAX Singer, Ex-QUEENSRŸCHE Guitarist Interviewed On 'Rockin' Metal Revival'

November 10, 2009

Former ANTHRAX lead vocalist Dan Nelson and ex-QUEENSRŸCHE/current SPEED X guitarist Mike Stone were interviewed for the latest episode of the "Rockin' Metal Revival". The three-hour program is now available for streaming in three parts below.

Nelson recently told The Metal Den that he has been writing his own music as well as singing and playing guitar in the band INSIDE HOLLOW. In addition, he revealed that he has been working on a new metal project with drummer Paul Bostaph (TESTAMENT, SLAYER, EXODUS, FORBIDDEN) that he said was coming along "killer."

Regarding his split with ANTHRAX, Nelson said, "I never live my life with any regrets and never look back and wish I did something different. I chose instead to look forward to the future. We did some great things in the time we wrote and performed together, and I am very proud of that."

Living in Wisconsin and free from nearly eight years of playing with QUEENSRŸCHE, Stone recently formed the band SPEED X with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's Nick Catanese. Joining them are band members Mike Froege, Josh Sattler and Jason Fowler, all contributing to recording their first CD at the Open Sky Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, which is nearly finished and slated to be released during the coming months.
