Former ANTHRAX Singer JOEY BELLADONNA Announces More Solo Dates

Former ANTHRAX frontman Joey Belladonna has announced the first couple of concert dates as part of his fall 2003 tour that will kick off in late October.

The dates are as follows:

Oct. 30 - Peabody's - Cleveland, OH
Oct. 31 - Club Rocket - Toronto, ONT

In other news, Joey and his new solo band have recorded the music for 11 new songs, to be included on BELADONNA's third full-length album, tentatively due in early 2004. "The music has been completed, with Joey laying down all the drum tracks," reads a post on Belladonna's web site. "He is currently putting finishing touches on the vocals and getting ready to mix the album. Soundbytes will soon be available here, and you will be able to buy the album online, through PayPal, on this web site."

The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 1998's "Spells Of Fear" (DeRock Records) will include a musical style described by the singer as "straight ahead... I mean, I hate to use the term metal, hard rock, rock. It's hard to categorize. It's going to be heavy but not ultra-heavy or frantic and busy. It's straight up. Vocally, I still have that same vibe. I really haven't tried to change anything. I've never believed in trying to chase something that's in favor."
