Former BLACK SABBATH/ELO Drummer To Be Honored On Birmingham's 'Walk Of Stars'

According to BBC News, former BLACK SABBATH/ELO drummer Bev Bevan will be the next celebrity honored on the Broad Street Walk of Stars in Birmingham, England.

Bev Bevan is expected to receive his star at a presentation in the next couple of months.

Bev, who presents a radio show on BBC WM, said he felt "very honored."

Bevan (born Beverley Bevan on November 24, 1944 in Sparkhill, Birmingham, England) was one of the original members of THE MOVE and the ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA. After the collapse of ELO in 1986, he founded ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA PART II without the original ELO singer/songwriter Jeff Lynne.

Broad Street's Walk of Stars honors those who have made a significant contribution in music, television, film, radio, theatre, sport, business and literature and is run by the Broad Street Business Improvement District.

On July 6, 2007, Ozzy Osbourne became the first artist to be honored on Birmingham, England's own Hollywood-style Walk of Stars in the city's Broad Street / Centenary Square. Ozzy's SABBATH bandmate Tony Iommi received his own star in November 2008.
