Former CIRCUS OF POWER, GRIP INC. Members To Guest On New RUSTY EYE Album

March 11, 2009

Hollywood, California-based progressive metal trio RUSTY EYE is putting the finishing touches to its new album, "Possessor", for a spring release via Epoché Records. Recorded at Temple Studios in Chatsworth, California, the CD will feature 13 brand new songs, mixed by seasoned engineer Jeremy Blair (GUNS N' ROSES, FEAR FACTORY) and produced by Miss Randall, RUSTY EYE's imaginative drummer and vocalist.

"Possessor" features the work of acclaimed Italian horror film composer Claudio Simonetti (GOBLIN, DAEMONIA),best known for creating the score to George Romero's legendary film "Dawn of The Dead"; former GRIP INC. guitarist and TIAMAT/LACUNA COIL producer Waldemar Sorychta; and Alex Mitchell, vocalist from famed New York sleaze-rockers CIRCUS OF POWER. The cover art will feature the gruesome art of Joe Petagno, best known for his work with metal legends MOTÖRHEAD.

The album showcases the band's unique blend of differing metal styles and sounds — influenced by horror films — combined with observant compositions underpinned with messages about the continuing “corrosion of perception” as implied by the band's name.

RUSTY EYE was formed by Mr. Rust in 1995. Miss Randall joined in 2003, and in 2004 the band relocated to its current Hollywood home.
