Former COLD Singer's New Project Changes Name
March 24, 2008WHEN NOVEMBER FALLS, the new project of former COLD frontman Scooter Ward, has changed its name to THE KILLER AND THE STAR. An "unmixed and raw" version of a new song is available for streaming on the group's MySpace page.
THE KILLER AND THE STAR's debut CD, tentatively is due later in the year through I Am: Wolfpack Records. Joining Ward on the effort is LIMP BIZKIT drummer John Otto. "I've been blessed to have [John] come and play drums for me," Scooter previously said. "The music is sounding beyond what I saw and felt and it's hard to explain the vibe and energy created from him and I. It is a monster."
THE KILLER AND THE STAR recently released a video for the song "Symphony for a Mad Word". The clip, which was shot at the offices of I Am: Wolfpack Records, can be viewed below.
Regarding his decision to sign with I Am: Wolfpack, Ward previously said, "I have chosen to sign with super producer Ross Robinson's [KORN, LIMP BIZKIT, SEPULTURA, SOULFLY] new label I Am: Wolfpack. Ross was the producer who started cold with us from back in the day. He did our first record. I am beyond blessed that we found each other again. And people who know what Ross does for music will better comprehend what this record is going to be. And that is powerful! Ross was the one that taught me how to express my emotion through my voice. I owe him everything.'
COLD's fourth album, "A Different Kind of Pain", was released in August 2005 via Atlantic Records.
