Former CRO-MAGS Frontman To Run In Annual Marine Corps Marathon This Sunday
October 25, 2007John Joseph, the former singer of New York hardcore legends CRO-MAGS and current frontman for the all-star hardcore band BLOODCLOT, will run in this year's Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, October 28.
In its long history, the Marine Corps Marathon has not only made a name for itself for its sheer size (it's the fourth largest Marathon in the U.S. and seventh in the world) but it also stands as the largest marathon in the world that does not offer prize money, earning it the nickname "The People's Marathon."
Joseph has been training hard for the grueling 26-mile run for the past several months. "I'm not looking to shatter any records, I'm just looking to finish the damn thing," laughs Joseph.
To add further notoriety to this already incredible feat, Joseph will be participating in the marathon the day after his band, BLOODCOT, is to play the Otto Bar in Baltimore, MD (Saturday, October 27 at 8 p.m.). As anyone who has seen this all-star hardcore band perform can tell you, it's an explosion of energy.
John Joseph's new autobiography, "The Evolution of a Cro-Magnon", will be available in book stores this Thanksgiving.
